about me

In 1997, I launched KavCom: Conscious Communications with a simple but powerful mission—helping organizations use mindful communication to make a real difference. Over the years, I’ve worked with national and international nonprofits and businesses, focusing on fundraising that fuels positive change. My passion for mind-body-spirit medicine led me to collaborate with some top medical universities and colleges.

As I ease into retirement, I’ve dissolved KavCom, choosing instead to offer my expertise as a nonprofit consultant, grant writer, public speaking coach, and transformational life coach. It is a random assortment of business offerings, but they are all communications-focused and the skill sets I have the most passion and expertise in. It’s a joy to continue supporting organizations and individuals in a way that feels more personal and flexible.

Throughout my career, I’ve helped Arizona nonprofits secure millions through major gifts, capital campaigns, grant funding, and collaborative partnerships. My monthly newsletter, The Mindful Entrepreneur Journal, once had a devoted following while I taught workshops at ASU’s Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation. In 2020, my book, The Heart of Profit, climbed to the top of Amazon’s Best Seller charts in business, and I’m excited to be wrapping up my next book, The Heart of Hope.

I wear many hats—public speaker, certified professional life coach, hypnotherapist, and licensed nondenominational Christian minister. But beyond the titles, I love guiding others toward clarity, confidence, and impact.​
